Embracing the power of health data across the charity sector

At Health Data Research UK we work together with a number of charities (as well as other organisations) to achieve our mission to unite the UK’s health and care data to enable discoveries that improve people’s lives. We recently invited the Brain Tumour Charity and the BHF Data Science Centre to share more about how they're investing in the power of health data science to progress research. 

Latest metadata available 

We recently added metadata for nine new datasets to the Gateway, including seven from SAIL Databank.

We focused on improving the search results page, enhancing the homepage, and updating the Five Safes form.

HDR UK Scientific Conference 2022 

On Wednesday 14 December join us at this free online event to celebrate the global health data revolution, and help build the knowledge, collaborations and public trust needed to enable data-driven discoveries which improve peoples’ lives.

• Hear from our early career researchers, six of whom have been shortlisted to present a lightening talk about their work.
• Visit the virtual marketplace to learn more about our programmes and partners - including the Gateway! 
• Discover the winners of our annual awards, including Impact of the Year, Team of the Year, and the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement Award.

Anyone can search and view datasets, collections and other resources with or without an account, but signing up to the Gateway means you can also:

• Send enquiries and apply to access datasets
• Comment on Gateway resources, including datasets 
• Add you own resources like tools and data uses, and create collections
• Apply to access advanced search methods like Cohort Discovery
  

Did you know that there are five ways you can sign up to the Gateway? Via LinkedIn, Google, ORCiD, Microsoft and through your institution.
