At the start of the 2022 we launched our new bi-monthly Data Access and Discovery webinar series, replacing our previous monthly Gateway Open-Door sessions. The change enabled us to expand our scope in terms of topics and talking points and reach a wider audience from across the health data community.

DARE UK survey on data research infrastructure 

Help DARE UK develop a deeper understanding of the UK’s data research infrastructure landscape!

DARE UK (Data and Analytics Research Environments UK) is conducting a survey to provide a more in-depth understanding of existing infrastructure across the UK that supports the use of sensitive data for research. 

The findings of the survey will help inform future directions of the DARE UK programme, as well as provide valuable insight to the wider research community across the UK.

Organised by the NIHR Research Design Service, HDR UK, the MRC Regulatory Support Centre and NHS Digital, it will bring together health data scientists from across the community to provide insights and perspectives on the important work they do.

Anyone can search and view datasets, collections and other resources with or without an account, but signing up to the Gateway means you can also:

• Send enquiries and apply to access datasets
• Comment on Gateway resources, including datasets 
• Add your own resources like tools and data uses, and create collections
• Apply to access advanced search methods like Cohort Discovery
  

You can sign up to the Gateway via LinkedIn, Google, ORCiD, Microsoft and through your institution.
