Help us improve the Health Data Research Innovation Gateway

Come along to our next Data Access and Discovery webinar and help us improve the Health Data Research Innovation Gateway. 

Join us in August for an interactive feedback workshop on the Gateway. This is your chance to hear about the journey of the Gateway so far, find out about new features and functionality and share your feedback and thoughts in an interactive workshop style session. There will be also be a chance to ask questions to the Gateway team and get involved in open discussion.

Discover the latest datasets published on the Gateway

18 new datasets were recently made available via the Gateway, including:

• Growing up in Bradford - a follow up to the Born in Bradford cohort study
• 4 new datasets from Pioneer - the Health Data Research Hub for Acute Care - including patient data on sarcoma and a large cohort on Community Acquired Pneumonia hospitalisations 
• SAIL added Family Man - a dataset covering people involved in family court cases in England and Wales
• NIHR Nottingham Biomedical Research Centre published two new datasets: metabolomic data on lymphangioleiomyomatosis, and MRI with biopsy data on liver fibrosis
• 9 new datasets from the Health Informatics Centre at the University of Dundee, including the Scottish Index of Deprivation, a diabetes database with over 100K patient records and several datasets on COVID-19 (tests, surveillance, A&E stats)    
• ONS listed Virus Watch - a community study of COVID-19 with baseline demographics and clinical information, plus regular follow up data

Gateway Collection of the Month

Gateway Collections are curated around a particular theme or topic and bring together related resources such as datasets, papers, tools and data uses listed on the Gateway.

This month, in honour of our recent event Building a Legacy for Health Data Research Infrastructure we continue to spotlight our Health Data Research Hubs.

Our Health Data Research Hubs are centres of excellence with expertise, tools, knowledge and ways of working to maximise the insights and innovations developed from health data.

Learn more about how the Hubs have evolved since they were setup in 2019, and how they're enabling impactful research in a safe and secure way in this blog post.
